Tony Dubens is the Director of Air Links Ltd. The company has been established nearly 10 years, and during that time has earned a reputation for outstanding reliability and efficiency, with a back up service second to none.
Air Links has gained many long term government contracts for school transport, and is accredited by Somerset County Council as an approved contractor. In 2007, the company bid for, and won, a tender to handle the very special needs of arranging all transport requirements for one particular school in Somerset. This was an untested pilot scheme, and the application process lasted nearly 6 months, competing against stiff competition, and during that time had to endure a lengthy and protracted testing period. We produced documentation showing our impecable record, Health and Safety standards, scenario testing, presentation techniques, driver CRB checks, Fleet Manager safety checks, Membership to all trade bodies including RoSPA, and National Private Hire Association, and outstanding references.
For the whole of our trading period,we have also been one of Millfield Schools few Accredited Transporters, specialising particularly in airport transfers.
For the past 4 years we have held the contract for handling the entire transport needs of the Millfield Summer School. This involves collating arrival and departure flight information for several thousand foreign students all travelling through the various airports as unacompanied minors, and arranging all the transport including buses, mini buses and taxis. On any one particular day we will be responsible for moving up to 500 students, and liaising with parents, agents and school officials.
We have an ever growing fleet of 10 vehicles, all fully licensed and insured, which is constantly rising, with 10 drivers, all CRB checked, who have extensive driving experience. Our male and female drivers include ex police, security guards, and school teachers.
